Olive Oil BE AWARE

 I buy only extra virgin organic cold pressd olive  oil in a dark green glass bottle and from only one country. Most of them are from numerous countries and many in plastic bottles. Do buy glass. I know its a bit more expensive but if its for your health try to consider that first. Of course I use so little of it, so it doesn't hurt my budget.

This video was very interesting and even has a test you can do to see if your olive oil is what it says it is.

Flouride in our Water Causes Health Issues

 I remember years ago when I went to the dentist the technician convinced me to have a fluoride treatment.  I was hesitant but went ahead with it anyway.

Dolly Parton's cake mixes contains Bio Engineered Ingredients

 I am a fan of Dolly Parton and my deepest sympathies for the loss of her husband. 

I see her as a kind soul that wouldn't hurt anyone intentionally. It is my belief that she cares about  people from the bottom of her heart.

I was in the store the other day and they had a display of her baking products, cake, cookies, muffins etc. I picked up a box and it didn't list bio engineered ingredients, but it had a phone number to call. (it is a law that they have to provide a phone number) if bio engineered ingredients are not listed on the box but are in the ingredients. 

Don't know why the govt gave the mfg permission to not include it in the list, probably bribing was involved with some govt agency to not include it. However, at least they made it a law to disclose if one called the number listed. 

I called the number while standing in the store. The phone was answered by Con Agra that was my first clue. I got to a customer service person and asked if the products contained bio engineered ingredients in it. He asked me "what?" 3 times I repeated myself and then was disconnected. 

I called back today and yes they do include bio engineered ingredients but it took her a bit of time and me being a bit irate and saying it was illegal to with hold the information for her to get her to admit it. 

I believe Dolly Parton would not put her name on anything that could harm health especially children. So I will try to find a way to contact her and let her know. If she does nothing then my faith in her as a caring person will admittedly be shaken.  I hope she is who I believe she is and and will have Con Agra remove the products from the shelves at their loss.

This is a video of RFK and what and how he is trying to do to protect us and our children from the disease causing ingredients in our foods. 

I eat as much organic as I can afford and spend time reading ingredients on the label trying to avoid bio-engineered ingredients. If its not listed on the box they need to provide a phone number to call and ask. 

I saw a Dolly Parton Cake mix the other day. I picked up the box and while in the store I called the number on the box a Con Agra employee answered the phone and I asked if it had bio engineered ingredients in it. 

He (the operator) kept saying what? I repeated it twice and then he hung up on me. 

I looked up where to reach Dolly Parton. I am sure she wouldn't approve of bio engineered ingredients in a product with her name.  I see her as a woman who cares and doubt she would approve. I will write to the address I found.

Also Publix the other day introduced a cake without many of the bad ingredients. They are getting a head of the changes coming. Kudos to you Publix for taking a first step. Cant wait to try it.

I looked at my great grandson the other day and saw he had gained weight and looked puffy. He is 6 yo and I felt so sad that his parents (my granddaughter) didn't want to hear what I had to share about food affecting our health. They actually got mad at me. I had mentioned it to two of them.

Oh well, I tried. But like so many people they are comfortable keeping their head in the sand and don't want the inconvenience of making more work for themselves. I get that, when I was their age I may have not cared either?

VINYL FLOORING AND THE SICKNESSES IT CAN CAUSE

I am in the process of trying to buy a condo. I lived in FL for 40 years, in my house for 30 years. Then my son, and his wife wanted me to come to VA since I was in my late 70's. I thought it would be nice to be near family.  Sadly it was a big mistake. 

One lesson, don't let anyone else make a decision for you. I had a nephew who believed  it was the right thing for me. I allowed him to convince me. Now that I am all moved he is not around to help me get back to FL.  

So now I'm trying to return to FL if I can find a condo I can afford. I have found a few. However, I am a researcher and check things out first. That's when I found out about Vinyl Flooring.  Many of the condos have been updated and the cheapest resource for flooring was Vinyl flooring.

It can cause Leukemia, Allergies, pets and kids are more affected by the flooring. 

Some people may not care and think I have to die from something. Others want to live as healthy as possible. 

For me, I want tile floors or carpet (which can have problems as well)
In my home in FL I invested in tile through most of the house and real wood flooring for my living room. The spare room aka 3rd bedroom had carpet.

My search continues for a condo with a ceramic tile floor and/or older carpet that I can install tile one room at a time. I took a few environmental courses in college and it was a wake up call for me. I try to pay attentions. 

A last note, my friend put vinyl floors in her house and she has dogs, one is ill and they don't know whats wrong with him, yet. I couldn't help but wonder if it was the vinyl flooring.  She has others and presently they seem fine. 

I guess it comes down to the immune system and how good it works for them.

Crumbles Full of Bio Engineered Ingredients

 

 My wonderful son brought me flowers and Crumbles for Mothers day. One was cheesecake, one chocolate chip, one red velvet, and all chocolate. I loved crumbles. 

I cut them up into quarters, wrapped them up and froze them so I could eat a quarter at a time. 

Lately I have been checking if what I am eating contains bio engineered ingredients.
